Most business owners want to have an online storefront. Stated below is one the of questions they usually ask for their startups:

Where can I find a web hosting site for my clothing business? Something at a good price just getting started.

The Truth on Making a Clothing Business Website

It is by far the coolest and most cheapest way to attract more target customers is through the internet particularly online stores websites. Compared to advertisements, commercials and banners, having your own online stores is cheaper yet effective. Sadly, there are lots of business owners who are not yet aware of the power of the internet and what they can do to jive into the latest trends in internet technology to increase or generate more sales. Some maybe thinking of creating their online store but don’t know what to do, well, here is your guide. Listed below are the two main choices in creating your ecommerce website.

Two Primary Methods in Making eCommerce Website

  1. The Hosted Shopping Cart Solution. The most easiest but pricier option. You can get a much simple interface to create your website which is perfect for beginners and non-programmers for they offered a much more user-friendly interface where you can quickly navigate and understand their page. Majority are offering all-in-one solution that provide you with premium web hosting service, free domain name and a complete ecommerce solution with complete set of ecommerce tools, themes and ecommerce sitebuilder. What you just need to do is customize your ecommerce site like what BigCommerce is offering(see Bigcommerce review for more details).
  2. The Self-hosted eCommerce Solution. This option is the cheapest yet more complicated. This use your own registered domain name, a premium web hosting provider and a free shopping cart solution. It is a must that you have at least an insight in web development or hire somebody that have the skills. What you need to do is to:
    1. Register your domain name at any accredited best domain registrar like Godaddy and Namecheap.
    2. Sign up for a premium web hosting account that supports, cPanel, auto-installer and ecommerce hosting. It is highly recommended to try Hostgator using the coupon code ‘SERVERHOSTING’ for 25% off at any web hosting plan or ‘EMAILHOSTING’ for $0.01 for the first month.

    3. Login to your domain registrar and change the nameservers of your domain name to be pointing to your web host.
    4. Login to your cPanel and install WordPress using auto-installer such as Fantastico and QuickInstall. You may ask why WordPress? Simply because WordPress has the advantage of having the most user-friendly interface as well as having tons of ecommerce themes and plugins that you can use.
    5. Customize your website. Add themes and plugins. Some of the great themes for clothing business are the following:
      1. Bazar Shop – a fresh and creative theme that utilises the powerful Woo Commerce plugin to create a very versatile WordPress powered shop, with unlimited layout options and a lot of unbelievable features

      2. PrimaShop -future-proof WooCommerce compatible and it is compatible with most of WooCommerce extensions

      3. Shoppica -a fully responsive e-commerce WordPress theme with stylish design and powerful backend

I recommend one of these: http://www.hosttell.com/

Powweb is on a 50% sale – $3.88/month ($46.56/year), and you get a free domain from them. (like www.yoursite.com)

http://hostingscorecard.com/SharedLSu5-1.html has 24 web hosts listed with prices under $5/month. Any one of them will be sufficient.

Each host is rated based on at least 1000 user review/comments over the last 6 months.

If you are having problem choosing a web hosting for your business, I suggest you do the following:

    1. Go to the webhost review sites such as webhostingjury, webhostingtopic.com or webhostinggeeks and list down about 3 common top hosting companies.

    2. Next, for each web hosting X, do a “X sucks” search on Google. Read some complaints and see if you may encounter the same problems like them. Some of the complaints may relate to certain groups of users only such as VPS, dedicated server users or resellers. So you may not be affected if you are not from these categories.

    3. Eliminate those hostings you feel uncomfortable with, and look for the best bargain hosting for your money.

You can start with Justhost, Fatcow and Inmotion as they are some of the best with good price.

On the other hand, if you want to sell your clothings on the internet, you may want to consider getting one-stop storefront e-commerce hosting. This way you don’t need to worry about design, building shopping cart etc separately. You can look at http://www.hostingtopic.com and pick a hosting that suits your need.

    Good luck.

when it comes to ebusiness, i would recommend fatcow or jump launch which i personally use. both of them are reliable, cheap and has a full ecommerce features and user friendly preconfigured scripts.
i pay for jump launch around $60/year which is $5 per month, with a free domain and $80 google adwards and yahoo credit (which is pretty crucial in promoting your website)
fatcow is pretty much the same, my friend use it and is very pleased with the service it`s for $66/year.
and goodluck with your clothing business 🙂
