What is the best hosting service for a wordpress blog?
Common query:
I signed up with Godaddy.com and their OK, but I am afraid to get going, create tons of content… then decide I want to move. There is a lot of bad mojo out for Godaddy and I want to find an affordable, wordpress friendly and reliable host. Any suggestions?
I have also looked at bluehost, dream host, host monster, lunar, etc.

I highly recommend Dreamhost http://www.dreamhost.com/hosting.html
They’re the best:
1. You get a free domain from them (actually 2 if you use the promo code, more about that later), or you can use one of these free domains to transfer your existing one to Dreamhost, and extend its’ registration for one more year, all free of course.
2. They have OneClick install of WordPress blog. Dreamhost will setup everything for you automatically, or you can (if you want to) setup any CMS you want manually.
3. They have 500 GB of Disk Space and increasing
4. 5TB (5000 GB) of Bandwidth and increasing
5. You can use their huge Disk Space and host multiple sites on a single account.
6. Their price is $119.40/year ($9.95/month if you pay yearly)
Which is a pretty standard price but they currently have a promotion:
Use the Promo Code: PLUS (at sign up page) and get a $50 discount + 2 Free Domain Names
7. This way you get them for $69.40/year ($5.78/month) including 2 Free Domain Names!
I think that all of those hosts have a trial period. I would take advantage of them before signing a contract.
Any cPanel hosting provider which allows you a database will work well for WordPress.
If you’re serious about your blog, you’ll also want a dedicated IP.
Search for "cpanel web hosting" on Google and see what you find – there are tons of hosting review sites out there to help with your research.
Hosting provider quality varies – wildly – over time, so I wouldn’t recommend any off the top of my head, nor would I trust recommendations by name.
As an experienced webmaster I recommend BlueHost service which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them.
If you want to be ensured about picking this service, take a look at:
http://bluehost-features.atspace.com
They have presented the information in an easy to understand format that helps you make your decesion with confidence.
They offer an installing service called "Fantastico". By using this service, you can easily create your forum, blog, photo gallery, etc.

Godaddy is a good domain registrar, but not a professional hosting company.
